TOP Prompt - 'First Giraffe'

ZARAFA
was the first Giraffe
in France.
Some
say
she
was
as
tall
as
a
small
tree.
And that she walked from
Marseilles to Paris.
Zarafa
grew
to
almost
two
floors
high.
And still lives -
preserved by taxidermy.

  1. This poem is just charming. I'm seeing spots from this lovely Zafara mania! I saw on your profile that you are in Mancheter. I'm on vacation right now in Manchester, New England in the States!

  6. I think you've chosen just the right details to include here. And I agree - the last line is a hoot.
