Here's my try:

TRIOLET
I don't listen to all that hype
So please don't try to make me scowl

I'd rather go play with my pipe
You'd be hard pressed to make me growl

    Like it. I wonder if the triolet form works with French in a different way, though. Sometimes I wish I was fluent in some other language and had a better sense of what it means to be its master too. I do suspect there are profound differences to thinking in French or English.

    Am I a cynic but with five lines of poetry you have given us eight. Sorry I said that! But that is what a triolet is and somehow it works so well.

      Hi Oldegg, I'm new to this form, but some of the samples I read had six different lines, line eight doesn't have to be the same as line two. I think the triolet refers to the refrain on lines one, four, and seven. Phew!
