Quatern - Fifteen

MARY MARY
Mary Mary quite contrary
Tell me how does your garden grow
With silver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row

First you torture then you butcher
Mary Mary quite contrary
Henry's daughter learns to slaughter
First the thumb screws then the dumb bells

And so the graveyard grows and grows
Quite contrary Bloody Mary
Mary Mary quite contrary
Called her guillotine a maiden

Much to stop the inquisition
Execution back in fashion
Pretty maidens were not rationed
Mary Mary quite contrary
