I didnt understand this!!!Opps. Can you explain.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeeves, Yes I guess I should - I've just been in Spanish speaking Tenerife where they have this word Urbanizacion, everythig is modern and they have the knack of making a relatively small town seem like a big city in places. Although most of the buildings are what I would term modern Spanish, square and rendered concrete blocks, there are some Miami style hotels and apartments in the older part of the town which add a certain something to the place. The last line is wordplay si for sea etc. Hope this doesn't confuse you even more.

Thanks :) Now I understand
ReplyDeletelol, i got miami and urban at first read. thanks for the explanation :-)
ReplyDeleteVery clever! (Your explanation helped...lol) :~)
ReplyDeleteI went along for the word play fun and thought that the narrator was comparing Miami to 'Playa Sun Sand Si', meaning Miami was too urban for him.
ReplyDeleteThey say some things provide inspiration, but I never thought of sangria :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the explanation - I have to admit I didn't see the embedded words at first read... Clever work, clever!
ReplyDeleteYou're so clever! (I'm glad you added the explanation, though!)
