Here's this weeks prompt.
Here's mine:
THE AMAZONIAN HATTER
It's not a tea party, it's a garden party, take a slug of this!
'Lemon Verbena? where did that come from? asked Alice, taking a sip.
It comes from Amazonia, replies the Mad Hatter, not Boston!

Proper Joe's
You and your American sentences, Andy. A nice sandwich for the garden party!
ReplyDeleteNice that you picked up on the Hatter, who is represented "-er"-less on Blackman's table. "Take a slug of this..."
ReplyDeleteI love lemon verbena.
ReplyDeleteStill trying to get the hang of American sentences. A tough form for someone who wants to modify and qualify everything--times three.
American sentences. How did Derrick spot that? That Amazon tea has cocoa leaves in it I believe.
ReplyDeleteLove this Andy
ReplyDeleteOh now I want a lemon verbena tea!
Pamela
Because I'm not so green as I am cabbage looking, Rall!
ReplyDeleteRall, Yeah and tobacco perhaps?
ReplyDeletePamela, and Braircat, I've got a Lemon Verbena plant in my back yard!
Paul, I couldn't resist the 'slug'!
Derrick, I find a spare sandwich always comes in handy!
I love what you've done with the prompt.

Thanks TLH!
ReplyDeleteThe hatter may not be so mad after all... I like the sound of that Amazonian tea. I'm going to have to try my hand at this form once I get a better sense of it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you arrived - the party picture was looking a bit dull before you came.
ReplyDeletefor some reason this makes me think of flowery hats. perhaps they could be novelty tea infusers =)

there's a lot going on in this post... the form is effortlessly painted and hilarious appearance of slug... the humor follows the alice in wonderland as sorta off kilter
