THE~DEE~EYE~WHY~SAGE
They say technology's a backward step
one step forward two steps sideways perhaps
all those gadgets are okay for robots
draw a line about nineteen-sixty-nine
Luddites and Troglodytes need not apply.

Touch wood and stroke your lucky rabbits foot
it's Friday the thirteenth in a leap year
don't look in the mirror in case it breaks
ladders and roofs can wait till tomorrow.

Here in the age of the~dee~eye~why~sage
we still depend on electricity
whatever happened to the simple life
yurt living cooking on an open range
let's head off to the woods and start a fire.
