  10. Thanks Linda, hope your students like it too!

Hi Gautami, not sure if there's enough interest for a weekly prompt but I could try a Mr Linky Thingy like Mad Kane does - I'll have another think about it and you'll be the first to know!

  11. Hi Latree, thanks for visiting STG..

Hi Tony, NaisaiKu.. It's just for fun and I'm sure you could cook something up, if it's only the books!

Hi Megha, not heard of spoon and marble before. At my primary school we had pot eggs, they were like an egg shaped snooker ball.

  12. Hi Doormouse74, you can tell which pub I've been to by the length of the poem, my nearest pub is in sight of this keyboard and when I go there I write modern Haiku! I think you get the idea.

Talking of sport I see you live in Ipswich, I used to go to the football there when I was living in Colchester, I remember the twirly whirly underground car park. And there was a little wooden pub opposite the railway station - we drank it dry when Man City came to town.

  13. Hi Jeeves, me too, I based this on a memory of Manchester's Wythenshawe Park on Saint Aidan's Sports Day.

Hi Stan, thanks for writing a NaisaiKu.. we're getting a lot of early hits on the blog but not that many people are taking up the challenge, yet!

Hi Sue@Tumblewords, and there was that other race where two people had their legs tied together and my favorite the long jump!

  19. I like your style! I tempted to have a go myself!

In your comment to me you mentioned snooker. I meant to include it and forgot! It was invented by Sir Neville Chamberlain in 1875 as a game to keep the British troops occupied in the Army Officers Mess in Jubbalpore India. Sorted!

  20. Hi Rosey, really enjoyed your post!

Hi Keith, Thanks for that, Sir Neville Chamberlain, of course...
