After losing the big game, Dawn tries to pacify her Pet Robot. However scarce it may be for a Robot, he flies into a rage. Dave can’t see what all the
fuss is about ‘it’s only a game’, he says.
Dawn bought a
costume to go with the new shoes her husband Dave gave her. What a tasteful
outfit thought her pet robot on the way from the store. I thought
Dave was selfish but those glass slippers look so realistic.
The thunder
and the lightning frightening as a quarantine ward. The acrid
stench only dampened by a dramatic downpour of May rain. April showers
are a thing of the past; I've been saying that for years.

2014 CONCLUSION
Hope you
enjoyed NaPoWriMo this year. This was my sixth year and probably the hardest
for me. Writing thirty poems in thirty days is always a challenge and this bout
was no exception. I suppose the best you can hope for is five or six decent
pieces in the month, but this time I feel only maybe two or three of mine will
ever be seen beyond these pages. But of course it’s the taking part that
counts, and if you didn't do it this year, maybe you could give it a try next
April.
I'M WAITING FOR INSPIRATION
I'm waiting for inspiration
but the headache won't go away
I try to baffle it with words
Big words that you can write backwards
Like Wassamassaw or someplace I'm waiting for inspiration But time is running out fast now The stats are messing with my brain
You can't negate illness for long I've been in denial for four years I'm waiting for inspiration Hold the operation I'm scared
My headache is banging thuck thuck I just want to go back to sleep Elegant as Malayalam I'm waiting for inspiration 14032012
Written for Three Word Wednesday - avenge, ramble, genuine
And posted to Read Write Poem - as I'm sure I had Tom's prompt
in mind when I wrote this nonsense...
